Her initial goal was to get through her first 10 fights. After 40 professional appearances, she was already thinking past her new set goal of 50 professional bouts in Thailand [an already impressive feat as a Western born & female Nak Muay].
Just a few years ago she whole-heartedly uttered the words, “My main goal is to get people to dream that dream, and to follow that dream. . . and God. . . I hope that it’s bigger than mine too. . . I hope that when I’m 50 years old, looking back, that there’s some chick with like 200 fights in Thailand – looking at me like. . . that’s all Sylvie?”
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu accomplished the goal that she romanticized would only be done by the next generation of Western female fighters. So what is next? What keeps her motivated? What is she learning after this 200 fight process?
