Body -Head | Setting Up the Lead Hook
Whether your style is reliant on heavy hands, kickboxing, or traditional Thai, I aim to give you a little bit of everything.
The purpose of drilling this combination is to close the distance needed to create an opening for a tight lead hook to the body. We use this body shot to drop the opponent’s hand, followed by bringing the second lead hook up to the head for the knockout blow.
For the Dutch Style Kickboxer – finish the combination with a hard low kick. The lead hook is a perfect setup to get the opponent heavy on their lead foot.
For the Thai Traditionalist – Angle off with the lead hook, finishing with a big rear kick to the body or head.
